Day 23: A letter to someone, anyone.

Dear you,

This is purely based on circumstances, because I'm heavily buried in notes right now, feeling miserable and studying as hard as I can, but don't be pressured by mum and dad into following an academic course that isn't suited for you. Don't be afraid to skew off the path that you think every one else is taking. It isn't the end of the world if you don't end up in a junior college nor is it the end of the world if you don't end up in a university. If I could turn back time, major life choices that I would change include, not going to the Victoria Integrated Program. Their way of teaching mathematics there has screwed you up gloriously. Also, make sure you are not overly complacent when taking you A' levels. Do well for your GP and go to NTU to do mass communications instead of SMU Business Management. Oh right, when you lose that bunch of weight in Secondary 2, DO NOT PUT IT BACK ON. And, when you return from you leadership camp in J1, do not go for volleyball training camp. I'm not sure how this will alter your life (possibly quite drastically) but maybe, you won't find yourself in the position I'm in right now. Exams suck, period. But it'll probably help if you're cramming for something that you're strong in/interested in. Most importantly, discover early on how mum is actually a huge, negative role model that you'll subconsciously be following after and do your best to change before it's too late.

XOXO, T.
